CAN YOU PUT YOUR REACTION TO THE HORRORS OF 9/11 ON A PAGE NO LARGER THAN 8 1/2 x 11?

This was the challenge posed late last year by  EXIT ART ... a nonprofit gallery at 548 Broadway, in the neighborhood of the devastated World Trade Center.

More than 2,000 works of art poured in from around the world ... not only paintings, drawings, collages and photographs, but even poetry, diary entries and musical scores.  All were hung cheek by jowl, whether by the famous or the ubiquitous Anonymous.

The show will close April 27 (extended from March 30, due to public and critical interest), but our archives at MOFA will be permanently enhanced by these works chosen for us by one of the exhibition coordinators.I
